COVID-19 Camp Update

2021 Camp Update

Unfortunately, DiscoveryLand Camp will not be open for summer 2021 due to COVID-19.

Presenting our programs and activities in a way that ensures the safety of our campers and staff has, and always will be our priority. At this point in time, remaining closed is the best way to maintain that in the face of all this uncertainty.

We considered many factors, including the government mandate that all overnight camps are to remain closed for the summer, until the recent announcement on May 16. Unfortunately, we cannot plan ahead until we receive details for a safe reopening schedule, enforced social distancing guidelines or group sizes.

We miss our camp family dearly and all wanted a return to normal with a trip to nature this summer. Camp means so much to all of us. However, we need to move our reunion to next year.

Meanwhile, stay safe. Connect with your camp friends online and meet up in person when it becomes possible again. Go through photos and remember all the fun memories of previous years.

2020 COVID-19 Camp Update

In compliance with the closure of Ontario Overnight camps, DiscoveryLand Camp will be closed for the season of 2020.

To our entire DiscoveryLand Camp family, we hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic. This unprecedented situation, while challenging and difficult, revealed an incredibly strong sense of unity, unlike anything we have witnessed before. We are truly proud to be a part of this community!

A big thank you for all of the supportive messages we have received from families over the past few months – we miss all of our campers back! While we are passionate about what we do and would love to see all of you soon – DiscoveryLand Camp, like all Ontario overnight camps will not operate this summer.

The full refund will be offered to those who registered for this season with the option to keep the payment for the summer of 2021.

We are considering the possibility of running a day camp program if permitted. We will keep you informed of any alternative options, as we aim to provide the best and safest experiences to our campers.

Stay healthy and positive!
